Our History

Singleton, Burroughs & Young, P.A. has a heritage of committed client service that began with the original partnership of J. Stanton Cross Jr. and Joseph F. Singleton. Joseph O. Burroughs Jr. joined the firm in 1979. After 23 years within the firm, Stan Cross accepted appointment as Equity Court Judge for Horry County. In 1999, James T. Young joined the firm after eight years of private practice, and the firm assumed its current name: Singleton, Burroughs & Young, P.A. The most recent addition to our legal team occurred in 2008, when attorney Kathryn Harper Sligh joined the firm.
