Attorney Joe Burroughs Earns Top Rating
The independent attorney rating service of Martindale-Hubbell has awarded its top rating to Joe Burroughs, Jr., who is a principal in the local law firm of Singleton, Burroughs & Young.

Martindale-Hubbell awarded Burroughs its AV rating, which is based on an extensive and confidential peer review.

"The AV rating identifies a lawyer with very high to preeminent legal ability, and is a reflection of expertise, experience, integrity and overall professional excellence," says Barbara Dooley, senior rating consultant with Martindale-Hubbell.

The Martindale-Hubbell rating cites Burroughs for "the highest professional and ethical standards." A graduate of Clemson University and the University of South Carolina School of Law, Burroughs specializes in adoptions and other family court cases. He is a member of the S.C. Bar Association and the Horry County Bar Association. He and his family live in Conway.
