Valerie J. Edwards
Biography
Valerie is a family law paralegal who focuses on a variety of domestic relations matters including cases involving divorce, custody, adoptions, child support, alimony, and related matters. She was trained by and worked closely with prominent Horry County family court attorney Joe Burroughs for more than 23 years until his retirement. Throughout her career, Valerie has served as the primary paralegal on hundreds of litigated family court cases where she has honed her skills in discovery preparation, financial analysis, working with experts and document management. Valerie enjoys the opportunity to assist clients during what is oftentimes the most challenging, vulnerable, and emotional time of their life.
Originally from New Jersey, Valerie has lived in Conway since 1974 and is a graduate of Conway High School. She is a certified professional legal secretary and has an associate’s degree in public service from Trident Technical College. She has two adult sons and enjoys spending time with family and friends playing cornhole and boating on the river.
